Sukhoi Technical Centre (STC)
ATSC Sukhoi Technical Centre (STC) is located at RMAF Gong Kedak Air Base, Gong Kedak, Terengganu.
STC was established in 2011 as a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) centre for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Su 30 MKM aircraft and its components.
Currently, STC highly skilled and competent engineers and technicians undertake all scheduled and unscheduled servicing of Su 30MKM aircraft as well as provide technical services, structure repair and modifications to the aircraft.
Its fully equipped state-of-the-art Component Repair Centre (CRC) is able to carry out repair to Optronic Aiming and Navigation Complex System (OEPrNK), Optical Locater System (OLS), NO11M Fire Control Radar System, Fly by Wire System (FBW) and carry out AL31FP aero engine module change, among other things.
STC also developed a technical solution for Service Life Extension Programme (SLEP) and 10 Years Preventive and Restoration Works (PRW) for Su-30MKM aircraft. The development was conducted locally in callaboration with RMAF Central of Aerospace Engineering amd Services Establishment (CAESE), Directorate General of Technical Airworthiness Malaysia (DGTA) for certification, local companies and local university.
On 31st July 2017, STC was recognised as One Stop Centre for Su-30MKM MRO and Supply Chain for all systems incorporated in the aircraft including non Russian equipment.
STC has been audited by the DGTA and was certified as Authorised Maintenance Organisation (AMO) & Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) by DGTA Malaysia.
